Thrillers are defined as the type of movie with a high suspense level, frequent and fast pacing action. A thriller is the type of movie that keeps the viewer on the edge of the seat with constant action. The main plot for a thriller movie is when the main character is put into a life-threatening situation.

The main character in a thriller is usually an ordinary person who does the same thing everyday who comes from a small town or a quiet neighbourhood who then gets dragged into a whole new world of intense excitement.

An example of a thriller movie is Live Free Die Hard which was released in 2007 which stars Bruce Willis. The story is about a cop who has to escort a computer hacker to Washington after someone hacks into their system, lead by a terrorist known as Thomas Gabrielle. John McLain then has to track down and anticipate his opponent’s next move.
